INSTRUCTORS

James Chapman
Owner / Instructor
James is passionate about teaching and empowering students new skills. He has been sewing for over 15 years, and has worked as a fashion designer for over 12 years. James has a BFA in Fashion Design from Parsons the New School. James has held roles including Designer for Callaway Golf, Head of Sourcing and Design for Monat Global, and he has showcased at New York Fashion Week, sold his designs to major retailers, and has helped launch over 200 fashion brands through his business Designable Fashion Inc.

ARC McIntyre
Owner / Instructor
Arc is a fashion designer and technical design expert with over a decade of industry experience. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), he has built his career specializing in technical design, garment construction, fit, and product development. His work spans major retailers and national brands. Arc has helped develop and launch thousands of apparel products and patented designs. He brings extensive real-world knowledge of turning a design concepts into production-ready garments to his teaching.

CAITY BURDASH
Instructor
Caity is a swimwear designer and entrepreneur with over six years of experience building her own swimwear brand, Burdash Bikinis. She launched the brand from her college apartment and has since grown it into a recognized handmade swimwear label known for its unique and fearless designs. Her work has been featured in Clutch Magazine, WSVN Deco Drive, Her Campus, Storey, and FSU’s Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship. Caity brings hands-on experience in swimwear design, construction, and building a brand from the ground up to her teaching.

GIULIA MORI
Instructor / Alterations
Giulia is a fashion designer and product developer with over 15 years of industry experience. A graduate of POLIMODA in Florence, she has worked with renowned fashion houses including Alexander McQueen and Hackett London, specializing in menswear, womenswear, knitwear, tailoring, and garment construction. She brings extensive hands-on experience in design, product development, patternmaking, sewing, and fashion illustration to her teaching. Giulia also offers apparel alteration services at our studio.

ZELLI GAVULIC
Instructor
Zelli is a fashion designer, tailor, and teaching artist with over five years of professional experience. A graduate of Savannah College of Art & Design with a BFA in Fashion Design, she has worked across garment construction, alterations, tailoring, costume production, and arts education. She brings hands-on experience in pattern drafting, draping, garment fittings, hand and machine sewing, and textile arts, along with a passion for helping students build creative confidence and craftsmanship.

Cindy Fetzer
Instructor
Cindy has decades of experience sewing and teaching, and was the owner of Learn 2 Sew Florida for 15 years. She has a wealth of knowledge on construction techniques and sewing machines. Cindy is passionate about teaching sewing and how to make handmade clothing and accessories. Cindy is also credited for teaching James (SFSS owner) how to sew when he was 15 years old. Cindy has been sewing since childhood, and has taught thousands of people the art of sewing.
